The Love School (Chapter 1 ) (Continued)
Dida started her scooty, and we both rode to my school,
Campion School, which has been one of the famous schools in Mumbai. I was so
proud of all the achievements that our school has received both in academics
and non-academics.
We both reached my school, and I smiled just by seeing
the arch where "CAMPION SCHOOL" was written in bold letters. Children
were running here and there to reach school. I looked at Dida, who smiled at me
after wishing me all the best.
"Dida, I have football trials today and after that
tuition. I will come home only after that," I reminded Dida.
"This is not something new, right. I know. Just make
sure that you reach home safely," Dida said caringly.
"You know that Nico will drop me till the street,
right."
"Yeah, I know, but I'm your Dida. I've to make sure
that everything is safe and perfect for my child." Just then, the first
bell rang, and I hugged Dida and went to my allotted class. I entered the classroom
with a smile, just thinking about the new beginnings and the old meetups that
were about to take place in that class.
When I entered the class, I saw Amaya and Ananya seated
together as always and had reserved a seat for me at the back. I hoped that our
gang had four members so that a friend of mine sat with me. Every time a random
girl or boy would sit with me. But I could not talk to them freely as I have a
problem initiating conversation especially, with boys after that incident. We
were not the typical nerdy girls who would sit in the front seats with the hope
of hearing the teacher first. We were those type of girls who would always sit
at the back but would study just like the other girls in our class. Just
because of that reason, our seats were adjacent to the bad-boy gang, and two
people in that gang had their eyes on Amaya and Ananya. Their names were
Pratheek Roy and Parth Khanna, respectively. I don't hate them for doing that,
but if they hurt any of my friends' hearts by being in a false relationship, I
was sure that I would break their nose. Just because of that reason, those guys
were scared of me as they never flirted with them in my presence even though
they did it in my absence.
"Hey Agni, you've arrived," Ananya was the
first person who saw me and hugged me with sheer excitement, which was followed
by Amaya.
"It has been a long time since I've not seen you,
girls. I missed you both."
"We too," they said in unison. That was the
reason why I hated vacations. I've heard students say that they hate coming to
school, but I was not one among them. The school was not always about studies,
it was, it is, and, it will always be a place to cherish with your friends.
"How was your vacation?" Amaya asked me.
"It was boring. How was yours?"
"We went to Kolkata, our mother's home, and stayed
there for a week with our cousins. It was nice. We played football, cricket,
video games and also went to watch "Bajirao Mastani". What a picture,
yaar? Deepika and Ranveer have done a great job, and their chemistry is
something magical." We started blabbering about so many things starting
from movies to sports. Whenever they said about their family, I felt a bit sad
thinking about Baba and Maayi but eventually, I would become happy because I
knew Dida was there for me.
Just then, our teacher entered our class.
"Good Morning, students. My name is Melanie
Malhotra, and I will be your Accountancy teacher and your class teacher for
this year. I want all of you to introduce yourself one by one. I will not be
teaching anything today as you can mingle with your friends as this is a new
class," said our teacher. Everyone introduced themselves by saying their
name and where they came from.
While the students were introducing themselves, I saw
Parth and Prateek looking to our side. I knew they were looking at their
beloveds.
"Hey Lailas, your Majnus are looking this
side," I said to them with a teasing smile as they both looked back. Amaya
looked back at Prateek shyly and with a bubbly blush on her face, and Ananya,
as always, smiled and winked at Parth, which Parth reciprocated. I knew that
both my friends are head over heels for them. I hoped Prateek and Parth loved
them sincerely.
"I think I'm going to be alone soon as both of you
will be busy with your Majnus," I said to them with a fake, saddened look
on my face. They both look at me shockingly.
"Oh Dramaqueen, we are not going to leave you alone,
and that too not so soon," said Amaya
"Yes, Amaya is right. I will find you an amazing
Majnu, so you will never feel alone as you will always be busy with your
Majnu". I didn't like what Ananya said, and my mood switched from
happiness to anger. After that heartbreak, I hated when anyone talked about
making me fall in love.
"I don't want any Majnu or Romeo. I'm happy with
what I'm. After all, Love is just a betrayal for me. It just gives me
pain," I exclaimed angrily.
"Hey Agni, I thought you forgot about it, and you
should do that. Virat and Sanjana are never going to come back to this school.
You should move on in your life."
"I have moved on, Ananya. But I don't believe in
love anymore."
"What you had with Virat was not even love. He just
proposed to you one fine day, and you just said yes because you thought it
would work out as you two were quite close friends. It wasn't love, Agni. Love
is something, which needs to be felt from within. It's something that happens
very rarely. When we see the person we love, we will have a strange feeling of
protection, care, happiness, and whatnot. People indeed say they can feel
butterflies in their stomach when they see the person they love. Love is a
feeling that gives a person the strength to do almost anything and everything
whenever you hold your beloved's hand. I know Agni, you deserve love, and I'm
sure you will get one," said Ananya. I was sure that this friend of mine
would eventually make me fall in love but was I ready for it?
"Stop, I've heard enough of your lecture on love.
I'll never kill the light of love inside me by bringing in Virat and
Sanjana," I finally said to her as I was never going to win a debate
against her and that too if the topic was love.
"So you agree to love a person who I find for
you?" Ananya asked me excitedly.
"Do whatever you want," I threw my hands at her
in defeat.
"What kind of a person you want? I know that you
will want a guy who is trustworthy and sincere. But I want to know how he
should look. Come on say, how should your "Dream Guy" look like, so
that I can look for a guy like that," Ananya asked me.
"You will bring my dream guy for me?" I asked
her playfully. She nodded at me but was confused by my sudden change.
"Then I'll surely say. I want a guy who has got the
most amazing hair in this world. When he walks or runs, his hair should flutter
slowly, just like leaves moving to the breeze's tunes. His dimpled smile should
be the world's best smile, a smile that has the strength to replace all the
pain in the world with lights of happiness. He should have thick eyebrows that
match with his hair, and last but not least, his blue eyes should shine like the
moon and should be filled with emotions, that are deep as the sea. More than
this, he should be the light in my life with whom I can live a lifetime. Now
you tell me, can you find a person like this?" Amaya smiled at my
description satisfactorily but Ananya was shocked by hearing it.
"Blue eyes? Are you serious Agni? From where will I
find a DiCaprio for you?" Ananya asked sadly.
"Hey, you told me you will find my dream guy, right?
Now you can't back out," I said to her playfully.
"Oh my dear Agni, I am defeated. I can never find a
guy for you." She threw her hand in defeat, and I smirked at her
playfully.
Just then, two boys entered our class. I thought they
were new admissions as I've never seen them both before. One of them had spectacles,
but he didn't have a nerdy look. I couldn't see the other guy as he was facing
Melanie Miss. She asked them to introduce themselves. The guy who had been
facing Melanie Miss turned to us, and it was an understatement if I said I was
shocked to see him. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He had nice hair, which
was a bit messy that increased his beauty a thousand times. He had an amazing
smile, and when he smiled, I could see his small yet beautiful dimples coming
out. And the best part was he had BLUE EYES!!!! Could you believe it? How could
a person look that perfect? I could see my friend Ananya playfully smiling at
me whereas, Amaya looked at me shockingly. I just forgot them for a while as I
couldn't take my eyes off his blue eyes.
"My name is Aditya Sachdev." I didn't even hear
what he and the other boy said after that, as I was looking straight into his
eyes.
