Summer is generally associated with agricultural activities and tourism, summer is a crucial time for agriculture in India as it coincides with the sowing and cultivation of various crops. Agriculture plays a significant role in the rural economy of India. Agriculture play very important role in India, It is a primary sector in India, employing more than 50% of the country's workforce. India is also known as, for its diverse agricultural practices and cultivation of various crops. Major food crops include rice, wheat, millets, pulses, and oil seeds, cash crops; like cotton, sugarcane, jute, tea, coffee, and spices are also grown in different regions. During the Green Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s the India experienced a significant boost in agricultural production, the Green Revolution helped transform India from a food-deficient nation to a self-sufficient one. This period witnessed the adoption of high-yielding crop varieties, increased use of fertilizers and irrigation, irrigation plays a vital role in Indian agriculture, given the diverse climatic conditions and rainfall patterns across the country. Traditional methods like wells, canals, and tanks coexist with modern irrigation techniques such as tube wells, sprinklers, and drip irrigation. Farmers have faced many more challenges like as grapple with price volatility, crop failures, and income uncertainties, efforts are being made to address these challenges through policy interventions, technology adoption, research and development, and market reforms. The Indian government has to support agricultural development, improve farmers' income, and ensure food security, the government conducted many programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Summer has a significant impact on agriculture in India due to its influence on crop growth, water availability, and farming practices. Summer characterized by high temperatures, which can lead to increased water evaporation and higher demand for irrigation. Adequate water availability during this time is crucial for crop growth and productivity. Regions that depend on surface water sources. Summer can affect crop health and make plants more susceptible to pests and diseases. Agricultural institutions continually adapt their practices to mitigate the challenges posed by the summer season and maximize agricultural productivity.
