*Poem; Moon*
Upon a canvas of endless black,
A silver orb begins to crack,
The moon emerges, shining bright,
A beacon in the darkest night.
Its gentle glow, a soothing balm,
Casting shadows, casting calm,
From crescent sliver to full round,
In lunar cycles, it's renowned.
In ages past, a distant dream,
To touch its surface, or so it seemed,
But human will and daring hearts,
Took flight on Apollo's daring charts.
July the twentieth, a historic date,
When Armstrong and Aldrin met their fate,
On lunar soil, they left their mark,
A giant leap, a milestone stark.
Yet, let us not forget the thrill,
Of gazing up, when night is still,
To ponder mysteries up above,
The heavens' playground, vast and love.
The moon, a muse for poets' verse,
A symbol of love, a guide diverse,
It pulls the tides, it waxes bright,
A cosmic dancer in the night.
So, on this Moon Day, let us cheer,
The celestial beauty held so dear,
In lunar grace, we find our way,
RISHITA
