Management is the process by which human efforts are coordinated and combined with other resources to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.
Management is a set of activities ( planning and decision making, organizing, leading, and controlling) directed at an organization's resources (human, financial, physical, and information) with the aim of achieving organizational goals in an efficient and effective manner.
The 3 Levels of Management are:
1. Administrative or Top Level of Management.
2. Executive or Middle Level of Management.
3. Supervisory, or Lower Level of Management.
Ways of getting work done through people.
1. Create Mini-Tasks.
2. Start With Something Easy.
3. Celebrate the success.
4. Tackle challenging tasks early.
5. Adopt a Reward Systems.
6. Be considerate.
7. Delegate responsibility.
8. Give credit where it is due.
9. Show appreciation of the other person.
10.When youโre wrong or make a mistake,
admit it.
11. Set goals.
12. Be considerate.
Collins-Sussman: The rule of management is resist the urge to manage. โฆ a manager's main job is not to bark commands, but to aid the team and provide cover, do whatever it takes to remove roadblocks and make them more efficient.
