In aisles lined with choices wide,
On World Consumer Day, we stride.
Amidst the shelves of wants and needs,
Where commerce flows like mighty steeds.
From gadgets gleaming in their light,
To clothes that drape in colors bright,
In this vast marketplace we roam,
Seeking treasures to call our own.
Yet pause, dear consumer, and reflect,
On choices made, with intellect.
For in the act of buying, we hold sway,
To shape the world in our own way.
Let's ponder well the goods we buy,
And where they're from, and how they lie,
In the fabric of our global sphere,
Let's choose with conscience, clear and near.
Let's seek for fairness, seek for truth,
In every transaction, from stall to booth,
For as consumers, our power's vast,
To shape a world that's built to last.
So here's to World Consumer Day,
A time to ponder, a time to sway,
May every purchase, every choice,
Resound with justice, and lift our voice.
