Whispers of Unfulfilled Dreams
By Sree Varshini R
Will my life come to an end, without fulfilling my dreams?
A silent whisper in the night, haunting all my schemes.
I’ve chased the stars with fervent hope, across the boundless skies,
Yet time has turned its fleeting hand, and passed before my eyes.
Ambitions painted on my heart, like canvases of gold,
Now faded by the years gone by, their colors growing old.
I’ve wandered through the fields of life, with aspirations grand,
But wonder now if they’ll be lost, like castles built on sand.
Each dream a beacon in the dark, a lighthouse on the shore,
Guiding me through stormy seas, where doubts and fears explore.
Yet tides of life have pulled me far, from paths I once embraced,
And now I stand on shores unknown, with hopes that seem misplaced.
Will echoes of my youthful vows, resound in empty halls?
Or will they find a voice anew, within these crumbling walls?
For dreams are fragile, fleeting things, like morning’s gentle mist,
And I am but a traveler, whose purpose can’t be missed.
So as the dusk of life descends, and twilight shadows creep,
I hold my dreams within my heart, in memories I keep.
For even if they’re left unrealized, their essence will remain,
A testament to all I’ve sought, through joy, and tears, and pain.
And if my life should end, before my dreams are fully met,
I’ll find solace in the journey, and the footprints that I’ve set.
For dreams are more than destinations, they’re the stars that guide us true,
In seeking them, we find ourselves, and all that we pursue.
