Can it be defined?

At this moment I am reminded of a portion I learnt from my literature text books. There was a time, where religion was considered peak of everything and the priests who belong to the higher level of religion took the position of the King. He was equal to the King by position. He had right to take decisions. All the more lots of people were blind believers of the church and its members. Being an English literature student, of course we will have to learn mainly about England and obviously they would be Christians.

But after the world war, which caused destruction to the physical and mental life of people where they gradually began to loose their belief in church and existence of God. Although it was just a small step taken by science to develop, Literature started to contribute tremendous amount of work. In between these chaos came Sigmund Freud and Charles Darwin with their theories. These theories created more confusion among the people. Slowly that concept of religion just washed away to nowhere.

This is just a short incident from the past, Centuries before we were born. During the time greatest writers existed. Where has this concept gone? It has diverged and taken its forms in new ways. The villagers who are partially educated and some sections totally illiterate keep religion as the only source of existence. They consider culture as a source of preserving their family traditions and giving due respect to their ancestors.

When it comes to the city life, we see dual roles. Some people who are totally atheist. Never ever believe in the existence of God, Never go to temple etc. on the other side, we have those people who are blind believers of religion and they don't mind money if they spend in the name of God. When they hear the word either R or G itself they will not have a second thought. There are also educated people who are similar blind believers. You can identify them very easily. You can find them in sacred threads and necklace all around them. Always behind Pooja and if they don't mind they will even sleep in the temple itself. Wearing a lots of ashes and sandal paste all over.

It is not at all bad to trust God. It's important that you need to fear God because he is the Creator. But everything has got its own limitations. Sometimes we must also listen to our mind. God doesn't need any of your money and your share of business or salary. If you earn in the right way and be helpful to your near and dear ones, then that's where God is happy and satisfied.
