Rebel

My family calls me a rebel as I chose dance as a career instead of academics. Though we are a picture-perfect family that looks great on the camera but internally it stinks. My father is quite against my career choice but I love to disappoint him. I love to defy everything he says.

My mom asked me once, why are you doing this to your father? I remember you were such a loving and obedient child.

Why don't you ask your husband who has killed my innocence when I was a kid?

Now, I shiver, get panic attacks when any guy tries to touch me. I don't have any love life just because of your husband. My mom was speechless and I was finally relieved.

Now onwards, no tears, I will smile only. After so many years I told my mother the truth behind my rebelliousness, now I won't be called a rebel at my home.

I won't be labelled any more. Now, she will not force me to come home and I just hope I become normal again.
