                                          YOU AND ME

You and me,

Had we not promised to live together till time endless,

Facing every worry together and remaining reckless,

Enjoying company of each other limitless,

With no one to interfere in our lives and be jealous.

You promised to bear all my tantrums,

You swore to love me all life without any harm,

My heart was your palace to rest and stay calm,

I was your heartbeat which you kept thriving with your passion and honor overwhelmed.

But with passing days, you have become oblivious,

You ignore my emotions and exhibit carelessness obviously,

Your behavior has changed so much, and you have become tedious,

I marvel, are you the same person I used to love previously?

Where have those pledges been lost?

Why are you away, leaving my heart exhausted?

All our sensational instants always haunt,

Leaving me unresponsive and distorted.

I am appreciative of the experiences you taught,

Now I trust no one ever at any cost,

This is the essence of my true love which I sought,

After I loved you recklessly without any fault.
