                        SCHOOL DAYS

When I sit down to think of fearless and fun-loving days of my life,

 I am dragged to those innocent and beautiful days,

When the only tension was to study and go to school every day,

When completing the homework seemed like climbing a mountain daily,

Attending the tests and exams seemed like diving into deep cold oceans occasionally,

When teachers at the time seemed like Gabbar Singh,

The amount of noise we created deafened anyone who listened,

If a teacher was absent, it was a festival for us to play,

Diverse games we played, fighting and scream the whole day,

Breaks would be the most favourite time of the day,

Where we shared our tiffin and enjoyed every taste,

Numerous times we were punished for being naughty,

But still, we did not hesitate to make the same mistake repeatedly,

Participated in every competition happily,

Winning was not the motive, but missing one period made us happy,

Parents loved us dearly,

They always thought that their kid was born uniquely,

No tension of money, fame, or responsibility,

Always enjoyed with friends wholeheartedly.

I would be grateful to Almighty if those days come back again,

Where there is no ego, pride, or anger to reign.
