MY HEARTFELT ACHIEVEMENT OF MEETING FAVOURITE PEOPLE THIS YEAR.

Being a parent is the most auspicious event in everyone’s life,

A hubby is thrilled to see the bulging tummy of his wife,

The entire family rejoices at the birth of a baby with pride,

They raise the child with love, always by taking his side,

Parents strive to keep their children happy by sacrificing their desires,

Their priority always remains their kids, and they are always in their prayers,

They never bothered whether it was rainy, summers or winters,

They fulfill each wish of their babies with love and honours.

As children grow and attend adulthood,

They achieve positions and forget their childhood,

They marry and within no time reach parenthood,

With increasing responsibilities, parents become a burden and are ignored.

They are thrown as ancient broken furniture,

In some corners of the house, but still, they feel as though they haunt their future,

All the love, care, and respect evaporate,

They are thrown at some old age homes without respect.

Why do children become so hard-hearted?

What if their parents had thrown them when they needed?

Are the blessings of parents now not needed?

Are they blind not to see the wrinkles and worn-out limbs of the old aged?

Seeing the old age homes, my heart melts with pain,

Needy, wrinkled, teary grandparents striving to survive with hidden pain,

They still bless their kids with weary eyes filled with rain,

What more can be the proof that in their hearts, kids still reign.

Never leave the old parents without mercy,

Remember how they loved you without being frenzy,

Life is short, and karma plays its role without delay,

You will reap what you sow because aging is a process that everyone must face.

My most outstanding achievement is to love these older people,

And to shelter them when they have reached their age, prime,

To care for them and enjoy their blessings,

To see my parents in their innocent and worn-out faces.
