Why students feel Mathematics As difficult Subject.....
This is a study based on my experience of teaching mathematics to school and high secondary school students. It is sometimes difficult for students to appreciate and important of mathematics....... They often find the subject boring and hard to understand the fact is that about 85-90%. Of students are not generally interested in studying learning mathematics because of many reasons.......... Some of the reasons are given below........
1... General basics concept of mathematics are not clear to every students at secondary primary level of education.........
2....... At any education level whether it is primary, secondary or higher teacher do not motivate the students to think new methods or ways to solve any mathematical questions other than the method which was already discussed in the books...... Those teacher are incorporating the spoonfeeding methods to our new generation...... They themselves are not thinking discovering new methods for solving simple mathematical questions at primary secondary level.........
3........At undergraduate level, in many colleges many teacher are teaching pure mathematics, but they don't figures or diagrams for proper understanding..... Many teachers don't provide their students proper logic and tricks behind every mathematical question whether it is related to pure mathematics or applied mathematics.......
4....... Now a days the parents are not giving full attention to their children about 90% of parents are interested only in getting marks.... They are not giving proper attention to their children for choosing subject, for making their base strong and for making their interest in different subjects.......
5..... Family atmosphere also matters for a child. Many students children are afraid of their parents.... They don't feel free to share their problems with their parents.........
6...... Our education system is also responsible for above. Even toddlers nowadays have great pressure for completion of their syllabus and it hardly matters to them if the concept are clear to them or not.... Thinking power is reduced in our students due to our education system.........
7..... Many teacher at their different education level discourage their students to raise questions to him her because they themselves are not aware of new methods ways of solving mathematical questions.... They are using old methods of teaching which are used by their teacher in their times.... Thus making a never ending chain.......
Even during childhood, parents don't have time to teach their children and start sending their children to tuitions.... This procedure is harmful for a child.... The child at this stage never thinks or uses his her brain for solving questions mathematics he she only crams the methods which are taught by his her tutor.... About 90 % of tutors are not interested in making growing their students knowledge. But helps them to complete their home work and are interested in making money... This will save time for their parents to do other work.......
Due to the shortcomings in learning and teaching mathematics students are scared and keep themselves miles away from learning mathematics.... In frustration they make negative abbreviations of maths like......
Maths means - mental abuse to human society mental abuse to human souls .... Mentally affected teachers harassing etc......
If a person deeply thinks about these abbreviations he she can understand the pressure and frustration of a students for not understanding the subject.... Teachers need to think openly to new methods and ways of solving mathematical equations.... Use diagrams or figures and allow students to raise questions.... Make such an environment is necessary for every students.... Also we know that hard work is key to success.... So students need to practice and understand mathematics instead of cramming it.......
