                I WISH I HAD

I wish I had, but I know I am dreaming,

But it gives immense pleasure even imagining,

I am an ordinary human with a soft heart, but I wish I had superpowers,

The power to change the problematic situations in few hours,

I would be changing this world within minutes, like mad lovers,

And convert every slum into a sparkling area filled with towers.

I would use all my power to change the recent situation,

Try to heal every individual dying with lack of oxygen,

I would wipe out the virus that spread covid from every nation,

I would give solace to people crying in need of ventilation.

I would heal the hearts of victims suffering,

Wipeout every tyrant ruling,

Spread love and peace to everyone living,

End hatred and jealousy from every heart pumping.

I would try my level best to feed every hungry person begging,

No child would roam empty stomach and sleep shivering,

Every child would go to school happy and willing,

A smile would be the new sign trending.

But then I think, when no suffering and bearing,

Will this world not turn into heavens above,

We would become oblivious of others’ problems,

And forget our Creator and His favours bestowed.
