DESTINATION

Yes, this journey is far too long, 

with many dips and bumps.

But I chose this route, 

and I'll have to confront 

a few battles along the way,

 like a stalwart who refuses to back down.

Even in nightmares, the destination, 

which I have yet to discover, is calling to me.

And with the hope of reaching it one day, 

this journey is en route; at times,

 by rejoicing in victories, at other times, 

by weeping in defeat.

There are no shortcuts or simple routes

 since achieving the goal is not like eating duck soup.

Days of toil, nights of insomnia......

Exams and experiments will be plenty 

along the way to your end destination, 

making you a stalwart..
