The Blue People
The Blue People is a weird and creepy story from Japan about a girl who ran away from home. Ten years ago, my sister ran away from home. In all that time, she never contacted us. We didn't know if she was alive or dead. Then, one night, she came back. I was the only one in the house because my parents had gone out for the evening. My sister seemed to be scared of something, because she kept shaking and trembling. She was clinging to me and kept saying, 'Please, don't leave me alone! I don't want to go back! I don't want to go back!' She was in a state of panic, so I brought her upstairs to her old bedroom. My parents had kept it exactly the same as it was on the day she ran away. She lay her down on the bed. 'I'll bring you something to drink,' I said. I thought it might calm her down, but when I tried to leave the room, my sister started crying, 'Don't go! Don't go! I'm scared! I'm scared!' The moment I stepped out of the room, the door slammed shut behind me, on its own. I heard my sister's voice screaming from inside the room, 'The blue people are coming! The blue people are coming! The blue people are coming!' When I finally managed to force the door open, my sister was gone. I searched the closet, under the bed, in the wardrobe and even in the attic, but there was no trace of her anywhere. All that remained were her tattered shoes, standing by the front door. One moment, she was here and the next, she was gone. It wasn't a dream. She just disappeared.
