Have you ever thought about the starvation

The one loaf of bread feels like ocean in the desert

The body craving that can't wait to devour , starts to eat the fat & health in its way

The hunger that's take over the mind , to devour anything , everything

Doesn't know what is bad ? What is good? It's one it's way like a demon that gobble everything

Leaving only silence , null in its path , like the Covid has done this year

Pinky wore the torn dress , and with her small bruised finger

Finger that was under the control of hunger still shaking with fear

Meddled with your food , & in retailation you hit her cheek

She just nodes & with dry eyes and hunger roaring in her stomach leaves

She pleads in front of a woman , with folded hands stuttering tongue utters food

In sympathy , women takes out a rupee from her purse

Hands out to her & whispers " be grateful " and leaves with a wide smile

The next person ignores her and latter one shouts at her , but no one understands

The hunger is like a candle that lits the fire of motivation to move forward

But if left unchecked then it takes the shape of monster that gobbles everything

The monster in her stomach grew out of control

She stole a loaf , now behind bars because our society sympathies but couldn't empathise at all
