It was almost 9:30 pm. And as we all know 9:30pm of winter feels like 1am. The road was void. I could see barely someone on road. This was the first time I was running late for my home. Well!! not my fault, if my car broke down. Luckily I noticed a mechanic nearby. Without thinking twice, I went and asked the man to repair my car. 

By the time, he was repairing I decided to grabe a cup of tea. Well a cup of hot tea and the shivering winter gives a perfect chill! Isn't it?. I was having my tea when my eyes fell on some stray dogs who were barking near a dustbin. Initially I tried to avoid but couldn't when the cry of a human baby reached my ears. 

I rushed towards the dustbin. I saw a box, it seemed as if the dogs were barking for the box. Hesitantly I opened the box, to my surprise there was a new born baby in it, and most importantly, it was a pretty girl. Perhaps she was born some hours back. I didn't know what to do. Hurriedly I took her to a nearby hospital. The doctors said she could have lost her life, if I didn't open the box. I was relieved knowing that the baby is out of danger. I tried to find out about her parents, who threw her in dustbin in such cold weather. I came to know from the sources that her parents didn't want to have her as they already had two daughters. I decided to adopt the baby, but will my family accept the fact that their unmarried daughter wants to adopt a baby whose parents are alive?? 

Today five years have passed and here I am with my daughter I found five years back. That winter night gave me the warmth of motherhood.
